The comparison of person growth through an epiphany and personal growth through psychoanalytic treatment has rarely been addressed in psychoanalytic literature.
Upon Completion of this activity:
Participants will characterize and discuss the concept of “epiphany” as illustrated in “The Dead” by James Joyce.
Participants will recognize the process of working through the tensions of illusion and reality in psychoanalytic treatment.
Participants will discuss the prerequisites of growth in their patients.
